Championship Show
Scenting Day
The event was open to all breeds and 72 hounds in total were given the opportunity to ‘work’.

24 of them received a certificate to say that they had picked up the scent and followed the line successfully. Dachshunds, in the main, were very good at picking up the scent but even some sight-hounds such as Whippets, and a Pharaoh Hound, did well too. At one time people were queuing and all the dogs happily mixing together. John Reymond and Ann Marie Hill (experts in Beagles and Bavarian Mountain Hounds respectively) assisted in the judging of the Hounds.
The Midland Basset Hound Club and the Hound Association are grateful for the help of the judges and the support given by the participants.
Next year, with the same support we can make what turned out to be a fun day even more enjoyable.
